Our Connaught Martini is famed for the ritual we designed around its service. During the pandemic, we had to innovate the way we had always proposed this iconic cocktail to our guests. Initially a challenge, this has pretty much become an opportunity for us to elevate the Connaught Martini experience. Since we can no longer hand the aromatic bitters bottles to guests for them to smell and select their favourite variant, we have developed a flavour paper map where we can drop the different bitters similarly to what you would do in a fragrance shop. We offer the flavour paper as a piece of art or scent since different drops of bitters expand differently every time and make each piece of paper unique. This is an additional element of personalisation we have had the opportunity to integrate into the experience and guests love these flavour maps: almost like postcards from the Connaught Bar, they want us to sign them to be taken home as a souvenir.
